Recently I took a little streetart discovery walk along Gärtnerkiez in Berlin Friedrichshain and discovered a lot of little artworks, most of them in house entries in Gärtnerstr. and Gabriele Marx – Straße. Especially the pop art streetart style of „BOXI“ I like a lot (the unhappy girl with the bunny ears and the dog with his head in the glass sphere).
This cutout stencil from Berlin streetartist ALIAS you’ll see all across Berlin. It’s considered to be a self-portrait of the artist as a working class – hero with the A standing for the „Argentur für Arbeit (engl. agency for work)“ on it’s trousers.
If you’d like to have something like that for your own wall at home, please have a look at www.iproudlypresent.com It’s a website for custom made paintings from your photo and they are using those two styles as well.
